Brake fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid used in your vehicle. It is used to transfer force into pressure, and to amplify braking force. It is important to maintain your car's brake fluid by servicing it at regular intervals. We can help you determine when it's best to have your brake fluid serviced.
Why It's Done
Over time brake fluid can become contaminated. Once the fluid is contaminated it starts to lose its effectiveness and can cause corrosion to brake parts. This can damage master cylinder, brake pistons, and seals, and even cause leaks to the system.
How It's Done
We use a Complete Brake Fluid Flush Service to remove all old fluid and any contaminates from the system. New fluid is installed. The Fluid reservoir is thoroughly cleaned.
How Often
Brake Fluid should be flushed every 2 years, or when it appears to be contaminated. When we perform a Premium Oil Change service we test your brake fluid with a specially formulated test strip to see how many parts per million are present. After checking this and visually looking at the fluid we can then determine when or if a fluid service is due.
